"Proper recovery care is essential for healing after a procedure."

Whether you’re just starting to research procedures or are already healing from a recent surgery, post-op care should be high on your priority list for a successful recovery. Proper post-op care doesn’t just reduce the risk of infections and complications; it can actually promote faster healing and improve the results of cosmetic procedures like liposuction, mommy makeovers, BBLs, facelifts, and more.

##
Body Lymphatic Drainage

Post-operative lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle technique that helps improve the flow of lymph fluid and reduces swelling throughout the body. This makes it an ideal therapy for anyone who has undergone any kind of surgery, whether it's cosmetic or reconstructive. Swelling is a natural part of the body's healing process, and lymphatic massage can help alleviate it. At our clinic, we use the Vodder technique, which is painless yet effective.

##
Incisional Drainage

Necessary when a client has an open incision or a drain, incisional draining involves a massage therapist working the fluid building towards the openings. This continues as the incision is open. Incisional drainage helps the body get rid of the inflammation that can cause pain, bringing a comforting relief.

##
Facial Lymphatic Massage

A facelift lymphatic massage is a gentle, upward motion massage that increases lymph drainage after facelift surgery. The main benefit of lymphatic massage after facelift surgery is to speed up the recovery process. After facelift surgery there may be some swelling and tenderness which is considered normal. Lymphatic massage may improve inflammation and discomfort while softening the skin around the scar tissue.

##
Seroma Aspiration

Seromas can be removed by having them drained by one of our in house professionals using a syringe or needle. This procedure is called aspiration. Multiple sessions may be needed if the first aspiration does not fully drain the seroma. In most cases a bandage or wrap will be applied to reduce leakage. Seromas that do not respond well to non-surgical treatment may then need surgical assistance.

##
Suture Removal

The timing of suture removal depends on how quickly the skin is healing. Generally, sutures should be removed once the wound has fully healed to reduce the risk of infection and scarring. Leaving stitches in for too long can also make them more difficult to remove. Our in-house professionals will be happy to remove the sutures for you according to your doctor's instructions.

##
Drain Removal

Certain surgical procedures like tummy tucks, breast enhancements, and some liposuction procedures may require the placement of a drain near the incision site to encourage drainage after surgery. Once your doctor clears you for drain removal after the drainage has stopped, we will be happy to remove the drains for you.
